Removing Office XP without the original disc

Nuclear option: Backup data, clean install win
Deleting program files doesnt affect the myrid of entries in the registry,
nor does it remove files that OfficeXP will installed in various folders

I have a similar problem except I am trying to delete Office 97 Pro. after I
have installed Office 2007. The install setup did not remove the old
applications.
