Removing old tasks from timesheets

I am trying to close out projects, and even though I set the resources to
proposed and republish, the tasks are still showing up on timesheets. I see
different responses on this discussion group board. Should I be using Publish
New and changed assignments, or Publish . Republish Assignments. We are
also tracking actuals. Also, if the timesheets have not been properly
approved, will that impact what shows up on the timesheet even if the
resource is set to proposed? I would really like to nail down this process
so that it consistently removes those old tasks.

thanks,
Victoria

We offer an archiving solution that will remove a project from standard
project center views and remove tasks from timesheets based on specified
parameters. e.g. closed for 60 days.

This solution moves the archived project to a new security group, which
allows you to set up views to display all projects including archived in PWA

We are available to assist you with this customization if desired.

Gary,

When you set the booking value for each team member to Proposed, does that
release their availability taken up in that project (if the task was put on
hold and the tasks were not complete yet) to be used for other projects?

Thanks,
Karen

KarenF --

When you set a resource's Booking type to Proposed and then republish the
project, the system sets all of the resource's assignments to Proposed.
This means that the assignments do not count against the resource's
Remaining Availability in the Build Team from Enterprise dialog or in the
View Availability function of the Resource Center. Hope this helps.
