How do we remove the prefix characters from an email quote included in a
reply or forwarded email? Occasionally, we delete a portion of a forwarded
or reply email, and desire to type some new text at the top. However, when
we do this the new text, along with the quoted reply, includes the prefix
characters on the left margin. We do not want the new portion to have the
prefix characters appended.
There are also times when we want to remove some of the the prefix
characters (often multiple characters because of multiple replies), but
cannot appear to isolate just the prefix and delet it.
