removing previous text from replies

I use Outlook 2007 and I cannot figure out how to remove the text from the
previous message in my reply. Can anyone help me?

At the time of the reply or always?

To never quote messages, go to Tools, options, email options - lower
part of dialog.

When i want to remove it from selective messages i either Ctrl+A in the
message body, then begin typing or select and delete the text i want to
remove.
