Renaming From Field

Is there a way with Applescript to change the name of the "from field" (not the address, just the name) on old messages that reside on my computer.

All of my old messages imported from Eudora improperly attached names of contacts to email addresses. Instead of attaching the names of the individual contacts, it attached the name of a group that the people had been associated with. For example the "from field" Looks like
Group Name <individualsaddress>

figured it out - drag the mail folder to the desktop, delete it from entourage, then drag it back in.. It seems to research contacts to associate a name with each message.
