Renaming macros

R

I have created a relatively simple macro, and assigned it to a button on a
new toolbar. Having given the button a descriptive name, I was surprised to
see that the name on the toolbar was

Normal.NewMacros.{macroname}

I would like to delete the "Normal.NewMacros." portion of the button name.
However, when I tried to rename the macro using [Tools..Templates and
Add-Ins..Organizer] I have access only to the NewMacros level. There has to
be a way to rename the button, but I'm completely stumped. Any suggestions?

Word's customize feature lets you call it anything you want, set which
icon will appear, with or without the name etc:

Right click a blank area on the toolbars, and select customize.
Then, right click the specific toolbar button, and make your selections
from the popup menu.
