renaming synch folder

I have a regular folder in My Docs, which is synched with several others. In
the process of consolidating some folders and moving others, I'd like to
rename the top level of one of the synched folders. I have been able to
rename within Groove, to where in the launchbar it appears as an updated name
(and this profligates onto the other computers), but when I try to rename the
folder which is being synched, it apparently gets lost from Groove's eyes
(synch turns off). Is there a way to get the folder renamed, but still have
it keep synching, without having to just start a new folder, move everything
(quite a bit of data), and have to wait for the synch for other computers?

Groove identifies the folders and files by name, so when you rename the root
folder, Groove can no longer find it. Essentially, it's the same as deleting
the folder, however, this does not affect other members of the workspace, as
it would if you deleted files and subfolders from the folder. You can link
the workspace to the new folder, by using the option "The folder has been
moved or renamed. Prompt me for the new folder."
