I'm working in Project 2007 and want to renumber the WBS Codes but the
Renumber command under the Project: WBS menu is grayed out. How do I
access this command?

Hello jaaret,

You may only renumber a custom WBS. The automatic WBS codes
renumber of their own accord.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thanks, Julie,
Here's my challenge: Two Level 1 tasks were assigned the same WBS Code
of 1, so there were duplicate codes in the Project file. I changed one
of the Level 1 tasks to WBS = 6 (which was not in use), but all the
cascading sub-tasks still show the 1.1, 1.3.7, 1.4.1.2, etc. How do I
get the tasks subordinant to Level 1 to match the new WBS code which
begins with 6?

I think I solved it. I went in to Project: WBS: Define Code and selecte
numeric values to eight levels, then I chose Renumber and it made th
changes I wanted. Now I have all unique WBS codes in the Project file.
