Repaginating

How do you turn the repaginating feature off. Every time
I page down or even arrow down, Word repaginates and takes
a second or two to do so....very annoying.

If you are using Normal or Outline View, you can turn off
background repagination. Select Tools > Options. Click the
General tab, clear the check box for "Background repagination",
and click OK.

Note that there is no way to prevent Word from repaginating in
Print Layout View.
