repagination tool

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I want to add the repagination tool to my Word toolbar but cannot find that option under "Customize Toobar" Goal: pushbutton repagination before printing.

What View are you working in? If Print Layout, repagination is perpetual...
That's part of what makes it a slower View for longer, more complex
documents. It's only if you're working in Draft View (formerly Normal View)
or Outline View that pagination has to be forced.

You can simply switch to Print Layout View or Print Preview to force
repagination, then switch back to whatever view you prefer. If you want to
add the command to a toolbar, however, you can find Repaginate in the Tools
category in the Customize dialogs Commands page. For some reason it's listed
as ToolsRepaginate in the list of All Commands. You can also assign a
keyboard shortcut to it if you prefer.

Thank You! I like to work in Draft (formally "Normal") and could not find repagination (it's name in '04) in either Help or in the Customize Tool Bar menus. I have now incorporated it in my tool bar and I'm grateful for your assistance. Thanks again
