I've grossly misused Outlook (more than 6500 emails in Inbox with folders
and sub-folders and sub-sub-folders, thousands more in Sent, hundreds in
Drafts, hundreds of Contacts, and on and on --- a real mess) and now I can't
use Outlook. Freezes.
Using the Export/Import tool, I've stored back-ups of all my emails,
contacts, etc. in files in a folder. But I still can't delete anything in
Outlook to begin cleaning it out. Freezes.
I've been told that I probably need to repair/reinstall Office Pro 2000 so I
can clean out my current Outlook and start all over.
My questions:
1) Can I "repair" just Outlook alone using "Add/Remove" in "My Computer"?
2) Should I "reinstall" the entire Office Pro 2000? And if so, do I need
to "uninstall" the current Office Pro 2000 before I reinstall?
3) Any suggestions for a better way to handle this? I've been fighting
with this Outlook problem for 2 weeks now. I'm handling emails through my
ISP webpage. Challenging, it is!
Thank you.
