Repeat gif animations in PowerPoint

Is there a way to set gifs so they will loop or repeat in presentations?
Repeats could be automatic or initiated by repeat clicks.

Looping the gifs cannot be controlled in PowerPoint. You will need to make
use of tools such as GIF Construction set. For more information, have a look
