repeated installation

every so often, when my computer is botting, on the desktop screen I
get a popup telling me that windows installer is starting to install
my fully legal copy of access. if I don't let this go through, i
cannot use the database program. how do I stop this please? because
it's a right royal pain.

Do you have more than one version of Access installed? This
"installer" message has been a problem in the past, and now it's a
HUGE problem if you're trying to run A2007 and an earlier version on
the same machine, and switch back and forth. Microsoft has been less
than forthcoming about solutions - some of the folks I know are
actually installing VirtualPC so that they can have separate logical
machines for the two versions, because there doesn't seem to be any
good solution.
