Repeated Outlook Mail Pop-Up Messages

For some reason, I am now being inundated with annoying "pop-up" boxes for my
Outlook Mail. This is a recent problem. One is called "Enter Network
Password" and the other is "Outlook Send/Receive Progress".

For the first, I select "ignore" and it goes away for a little while and
then "pops up" again. I'm logged into my e-mail server OK and getting and
sending my Outlook mail via my ISP just fine. I just don't get why this box
is appearing or how to stop it.

In the second case, I get the annoying Send/Receive Progress box constantly
while my Outlook mail session is active. I continue to check the box saying
"don't show this messsage during send/receive", but it keeps coming back over
and over and over again. There is nothing I can find in Outlook Help or
Tools to stop this annoying pop-up. Again, I'm not having any mail problems
to my knowledge that should trigger this damn Progress message. How to I put
a stop to it?????

Thanks for any suggestions. The Dorp

Version of Outlook? What operating system? Do they return almost
immediately or only if you restart outlook?

Outlook 2002. I use XP home Ed. (SP3 updates in July) The messages "pop up"
repeatedly during a session, not just when I restart Outlook. I hope that
helps. The Dorp
