Replace function in a calculated field?

Is it possible to use this function in a calculate field, or do I have to use
VBA code and then write to the field?

Calculated fields are always calculated, you can't enter data directly into
them, so if you want to replace something that has been entered you need to
use VBA.

Another possibility is to reference another field in your formula. For
example, if you are calculating Cost1 based on some number, you could enter
the value in Number1.
