replace license

Hi, if i had a license for Office 2007 from my office installed on my
notebook, the notebook then become mine; after awhile i resign from that
office; is that mean i no longer eligible to use the application?

if then i purchase a license on my own; can i replace the license on the
notebook without having to uninstall and reinstall the whole application? i
personalized the applications, dictionary and bibliography etc. i am
overwhelm with the prospect that i need to re-do all of that; it's like
retarting all over again.

Cheers

The first part is correct. The license belongs to your company, not you.

I'm not sure about the second part. If you had the exact same version, there
may be a way but if not, I suspect not.

It depends whether the company transfered the Licences to you, ie did they
supply you with all disks neccessary to recover the system, including o/s

let me change the question then; if i remove the current installation of
Microsoft Office and re-install with new one (may or may not be the same type
even if both are the same version Office 2007), would my personalized data
e.g. Word Bibliography, Outlook Mail Folders, Contacts, Calendar Sync to my
Windows Mobile, custom templates etc.. will they all be preserved and
automatically use on the new installation?

I've only ever transferred my email and contacts from on computer to
another. I am not the best source of info for how to transfer the various
customizations. What I would suggest is to post your Outlook transfer
questions in an Outlook newsgroup, your Word questions in a Word newsgroup,
etc. There are MVPs in those groups who can help you. ;-)
