Replace Outlook 2002 forms

Robert Cash

I have made a new Outlook 2002 new message form and want to replace the
existing standard form with the custom one. I hope not to have to click on
Actions then choose my custom form everytime I want to write a new message
(or the other few laborious ways that are available). Can I replace the
standard outlook new message form or at least somehow add an icon on th
etoolbar that I can click on to easily access my custom form? Thank!

The purpose of the new form is simply to add a box to type in a Category so
that I can enter a filing code for outgoing messages so that I can later view
sent messages by category and file them accordingly. I know that I can click
on Options then type in a category, but I was looking for something much more
simple and convenient.

Robert.

This is a bad idea for two reasons:

1) Using a custom message form will make it highly likely that non-Outlook
recipients will not be able to open any attachment you send.

2) Applying a category before you send an item means that category will be
visible to any Outlook recipient of your message. That may be information
you don't want to share.
