Replacement for damaged CD

My notebook PC was purchased with Microsoft Office 2000
Professional installed. I accidentally damaged the CD
Disc 2 and it is no longer readable. How do I get a
replacement?

You should be able to get a replacement. Assuming that it is OEM
Office 2000, contact where you bought your PC. If it is a retail copy,
you'll need to contact MS by phone. (800) 360-7561 in the U.S.,
numbers at http://microsoft.com/worldwide for other areas.

P.S. If you searched the MS newsgroups at http://www.google.com/grphp
you could have found this answer. I is asked often.

In addition to all that good advice, try wiping the CD with pure water on a
clean lint-free cloth, from center to outside, NOT like in circles on old
vinyl. Sometimes it works. Make sure it is totally dry before placing in
drive. It could just be dust or fingerprints. I have about 50% luck with
that.
