Replaying a slide with animation and sound

Please could anyone help me.

I am producing a training presentation for people to undertake on their pcs.
The slides are heavy with custom animation and audio. I have also included
navigation buttons to allow people to move forwards or backwards.

I can't get the slides to replay if someone hits the backward navigation
button after the slide has already played once. I also have a contents page
as my home page and the same issues occurs if people use the hyperlinks on
the contents page to move around the slides once they have played.

I have tried the rewind but this automatically reverses each animation as it
finishes where as I want them rewound after the whole slide has finished. Any
ideas?
