I am using Outlook XP (2002) to manage four E-mail
accounts (all four are POP3 accounts). One of the
accounts is defined as the default account. The default
account is also the first account in the list of accounts
(as displayed when I select "Tools, E-mail accounts",
click the "View or change existing E-mail accounts"
button, and click next).

However, because this account is in the ".name" domain,
and the ".name" domain providers only provide E-mail
forwarding (not real mail servers), the account is
configured to send E-mails via the outgoing mail server
of one of my other E-mail accounts.

When I receive messages addressed to my default account,
and I reply to them, Outlook uses one of my other E-mail
accounts for the outgoing message. This is indicated by a
an information line (with the lower case "i" in a black
circle icon and a yellow background) in the message
header with the text "This message will be sent via xxx"
(where "xxx" is the name of the non-default E-mail
account).

I can change the account selection by selecting my
default account from the "Accounts" pull-down list on the
toolbar, but it's a nuisance to have to perform an extra
step to override the incorrect account selection.

Can anybody give me any insight into why Outlook is
choosing the WRONG E-mail account for these replies?
