Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop Had previous post of this issue, Diane replied.
Continues, but do notice that if I selected full body of the email and click reply then the body will go into the reply.
Still, it's highly annoying.
As it stands fairly consistent when I click reply the body of the senders email is truncated away, any idea?

I¹m not following you. Can you be more specific?

Diane,
Someone send me an email.
It says,
"Kevs What new. what doing saturday"

I click reply.

But
"Kevs What new. what doing saturday"

is not in the reply email

The reply depends on whether it's HTML or Plain text. Next is your setting
for reply below or on top. You also need to select the portion you want to
reply to. HTML is the worst to try and reply to specific portions. Plain
text is the best for actually having a conversation.

See this link for reply preferences and what you get.

If there is a signature delimiter all text below that will be clipped as
well.

thanks Diane, I think this goes beyond that. How do I know if the email coming in is html or text? is there an indicator? these are mostly text emails -- so that's I think its some bug, and it's intermittent on top of all that.

Diane, think I figured it out! hopefully.
I think I was pasting, name or email to a document.
then doing the reply, not seeing the copy was still selected, way down.

In Entourage Preferences > Compose be sure you have checked "Show HTML
Formatting toolbar in the Message Composition window".

You can toggle between HTML and Plain Text using the ab/ab button.
