I just upgraded my Office 2003 Trial to Office 2007 Trial. I uninstalled
Outlook 2003, and all the other Office 2003 apps except Excel before I
installed the trial. During the installation, I told it to uninstall Excell
2003, so I no longer have any 2003 apps.

Everything seems to work well in the 2007 trial EXCEPT:
Many Outlook buttons are grayed out, like reply, new task, all the options.
The ability to print preview in color is grayed out.

Is this because its a trial? If so, its not much of a trial if its
crippled. Or do I have a major software problem?

Did you activate the trial?

Yep. Then I posted this, then I found when I did something I can't remember
that it said to use this feature, buy Office. I started running the menu
item Diagnose Office, or something like that. While it was running, I
priced Office. I found that it was surprisingly available now at Amazon,
and I ordered it overnight shipped. (I want a CD to hold in my very own
hands.) THEN the diagnostics finished, and said it fixed one minor thing in
setup. WALA! All the features now work.

I wish I had been more patient. I think I read while I was researching this
that someone else's trial said it was up before it even started. I'm
guessing that's what happened to me, at least on Outlook. Maybe it was the
back to back 2003 then 2007 trials. The 2003 trial was up. But anyway, it
fixed itself with that new diagnostics. I thought it was pretty neat.

Thanks for the reply.
