report and subreport problems

Hi, There I'm new at this stuff so forgive me.
I have a main report: "PurchaseOrders" in this report I need a subreport
"Inventory Transactions" that has the same PurchaseOrderID as the Main
report. I can get them to show up but as soon as i create another Purchase
order, I have a supreport that shows both PurchaseOrderID's 7 then 8 in the
main report. I need the subreport to return "current" Purchase Order ID
values pulled from a button "preview current report" on a form.
HELP!!!!!!!!!
