Report from Database Model Diagram

In a previous version of Visio, I was able to easily generate a very customizable report of a Database Model Diagram. I can't seem to find it anywhere in 2003. Combined with the Reverse Engineering Wizard, this was an extremely useful feature for generating quick documentation of a client's database. Where did it go?

Hi J,

It sounds like your previous version was perhaps Visio 5.0 Enterprise?
That was a giant/expensive version of Visio that included several solutions
that are not included in the Visio Professional box.

To get the Database modeling functionality - you now need to get "Visio
Enterprise Architects" (VEA), which is included in Microsoft Visual Studio
..NET Enterprise Architect Edition

Here is a link that describes VS .NET in detail:

Here is a link that shows the difference between Visio Professional and
Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Architect:

Hope that helps,
darrin.
