Report initialization? problem.

A

Aloysius

I am running Access 2000 9.0.4402 SR-1 w/ "Log Name Autocorrect changes
turned OFF!

I'm experiencing something rather odd. When I open a database, th
FIRST time I preview a report it appears that Access is ignoring th
page setup stored with the report and instead applying the default pag
setup (portrait, 1 in margins). However, this only happens the FIRS
time ANY report is opened. After that, ALL reports open properly. Unti
you close the database. THe next time the application is opened, yo
experience the same error.

In my debuging, I tried the following (if you'd like to try t
recreate...)

Create a BRAND NEW DATABASE
Then create a BRAND NEW report using the Report Wizard and selectin
LANDSCAPE orientation.
Preview your new report
Close the database
Re-Open the database
Preview the report again
Opens fine.
Now, modify the page setup in the report - change margins etc. an
re-save the report
Now preview the report
Opens fine
Now close the database
Re-Open teh database
Preview the report again
Report now appears in portrait
Close the report
Re-Open the report
Report now appears in landscape

Bizzare, huh?

As a workaround now I have an Autoexec macro that opens and closes
report. It's cheesy, I know, but it works.

Any other ideas or information (even just knowing that this is
confirmed bug) would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
