Report Page Header and detail fields link to adjust automatically in Access
2007. I DO NOT WANT my title to adjust with my details field. I want the
title one size and the detail a totally different size. How do I sever the
link between the two when I adjust one. For example I choose the detail
textbox field and start expanding it, the title field above will expand with
it. They are linked somehow and I want to remove it. I know how to seperate
in Access 2003, but this won't work in 2007. I created the report using the
wizard, and I know they are not grouped together because I have clicked the
ungroup button and they still expand and contract.

Ok, I figured it out. It is kinda messy, but turn off Tabular and then
rearrange everything.

No. Select all columns in the page header and details using the crosshairs that appear just left of the page header columns. Click on the Arrange menu tab (Report Design Tools) then click the REMOVE button.

This will free all objects in the page header and details. You can move them about independently of one another.

ENJOY!?
