Report page/text size changes when distributing application

Access 2003

I have a constant issue with reports opening in sizes/orientations different
from my development machine when opened on client computers for the first
time. Here are two examples; both are set to open in preview mode and
correctly show Default Printer on my development machine and the client
machine when opened.

I have a report that is Landscape, Legal size. Each time I distribute a new
version of this application to a client, the preview is in portrait, although
the page settings indicate landscape. The client must then go to page
settings, change it to portrait, OK this, then go back and change it to
landscape to get the correct format to stick. Alternatively, the client can
change from the Default Printer to a Specific Printer and back again.

I have another portrait report that also opens in preview mode, Default
Printer. When the client opens it for the first time, the page correctly fits
the screen, but the content is zoomed to either perhaps 20% or perhaps 500%,
and it prints that way. Either the text prints very tiny on the page or very
large (spanning multiple pages). Both of these are corrected by changine
either the printer or orientation and then changing it back again.

Both affected clients are using Access 2003 runtime. One uses it on a
Windows XP laptop, and the other uses it on a Win2K terminal server.
