Paul, below are the two report's fields Count Report and Inventory. As you
can see the last column is Quantity. These two reports are standard reports
in Visio 2003.
What is Quantity? What does it count? It does not count positions or
individuals or shapes because the numbers do not add up. Thank you.
Count Positions
Title Name Quantity
30
Count
Inventory
Name Title Phone # Location City State Quantity
I am sorry I forgot to mention the diagram I am using. I am using an
Organizatinal Chart. Can you tell me what Quantity means? Or how I can
eliminate it from my reports? Thank you. One more question. Are there many
changes from Visio 2003 to 2007. I cannot find any 2003 books locally
everything is for 2007 and not sure if it is worth spending the money on a
2003. Our company will be swithching over to 2007 sometime next year.
Org charts have 3 reports available by default, the first one, as you mention, the Count
Positions report outputs 3 columns, Master Name, Job Title and Quantity. Seems obvious to
me, what is wrong with that? 5 Executives, 3 Managers, 1 Dogsbody.
Inventory report, as above but without the Job Title column.
Organisation report shows Department, Name, Title, Telephone and Number of direct reports
Quantity in all these is the number of shapes representing each type of position, so if
you have 3 Executive shapes then it will show Quatity of 3.
