Reporting on work assigned to different resources - For just one project

M

Mike S.

We have Project Server 2003 using Project Pro 2003 and we have many projects
loaded into the system. We do the basic monitoring of utilization thru the
system fairly easily from a high level.
One of our projects has a lot of visibility to it and additional reporting
is needed.
How can I get to data such as: how many hours is Bob assigned on project A?
I am unable to find a way to do this that doesn't show time from all
projects that Bob has been assigned since we are using the server
environment. This request could be expanded to hours scheduled, actual or
budgeted.
Still new to the system - thanks!

The quickest and easiest way to do this is as follows:

1. Launch Microsoft Project Professional
2. In the Project Server Accounts dialog, deselect the "Load summary
resource assignment" option
3. Select your Project Server login account and click the Connect button

When you apply the Resource Usage view, you will see only the assignments in
the current project and will not see any summary assignments from other
projects. Do not use the above technique when you are going to assign
resources to tasks, however, as you need to see assignments from other
projects to avoid createing resource overallocations. Hope this helps.
