Mark Smith

I've released a new version Toucan Reporter - which makes it easy to create
great loking reports from your data in Groove Forms. This version has lots of
enhancements, and is available without charge as a download from the web site
below.

I've also released an update to FileFinder for Groove, which searches your
documents tools to help you locate your lost files.

If you do download and try out these tools and you find them helpful, please
mark this posting accordingly.

Thank goodness!!! I have waited a while to get hold of this reporting tool.
It is not the most intuitive of tools, but very rich in content (I was
particularly challenged by trying to build a report on a Groove tool that I
had customised, which clearly had some errors in it, which did not affect the
way we use the tool but did not allow the report to be built - the danger of
a little knowledge!

What would be useful is a fairly basic user guide to help find out (for
example) how to sort and filter the data. It would also be really useful to
know whether it is possible to include the production of the report within a
Groove tool without workspace members having to have/know about Toucan.

I will try the search/file finder tool at some point. Thanks for releasing
this Mike!

Mark,

Not look a gift-horse in the mouth but I would have found it useful to read
a clear description on your website about what this was. The few words you
had to describe Toucan Reporter were insufficient for my noob brain to grasp
what the heck this tool does. I finally found my answer here, that it
enables workspace managers to generate reports from data in the lists in
various tools in a workspace.

Thanks for providing it. But as Rose suggested above, more documentation
(at a couple levels) would make this tool more useful to many.
