Reports - overriding

I have generated a report with the costs prorated over my project. Is there a
way to override the prorated numbers, because for some projects, i would like
to budget more money up front, but not all of it. I know there are only the
three options.

We need a little more information. What version of Project are you
using? What report are you referring to?

When you say costs are prorated over your project, unless you have fixed
costs or certain types of material costs, all of Project's costs are
prorated over the duration of the tasks, so I'm not quite sure what you
mean by "budgeting" more money up front. Do you wish to enter the costs
manually? If so, you should turn off the option to have Project
calculate costs under Tools/Options/Calculation tab. Or maybe you just
want to contour resources which will effectively contour costs.
