I've created a database - all seemed to be working. I could open
reports. I've tried it out and added in data - using a form - now the
reports and queries wont open. I sign pops up
"Data type mismatch in criteria expression."
On my form i have 6 drop down menus of different jobs that people
could choose from and another drop down menu with the person who is
managing the client. They work fine. I've created queries for each job
to pick out a particular one and then a report to view who is
interested in what job etc.
When i first created the database, i used the 'lookup field' and got
it to take data from another table - i created a table with all the
jobs listed. The field changed to 'Number' instead of 'text'.
I had done a database previously - the same but had input the data
manually and this worked fine but i was told to link the tables
together and the fact that you cant update the job list without
redesigning everything. Since i've put it too get the data from
another table it doesn't seem to work.
Is there a way around this?
I've created nearly 70 queries and 70 reports on each job and now they
wont open since i've added data through the form.
