Reports will not run on my PC

I have XP Pro, Access XP - if I create a database and build a report access
stops responding when I try the report. All other functions work fine as
long as I do not run a report. I can copy the db to another pc and the
report runs there. I have recently moved to this XP machine. The old user
says they had no problems. I would appreciate any help.

Install a standard printer on LPT1.

Do you have a default printer defined for your system?

Yes, I have a default - it is a network printer not local.

Can you verify that other applications on this PC print to that printer
without any problems?

Yes, no problems printing. The report does not generate at all. I see a
box where the report is to display, but Access stops responding.

Hmm, that's odd. One thing worth doing is checking your references,
though I don't see exactly how a broken reference would affect one
particular report. Still, often when databases don't work on one
particular machine, it's because of a broken or missing reference. See
if the steps outlined here help:

If they don't, you might try installing a local print driver, and see
what happens if you set your report to print there.
