Repost: "Could not open macro storage" message

This is a repost of my earlier message. I received a
response from Raghu Prakash (thank you for responding!),
but I think he misunderstood the entire problem. He gave
a solution for a macro that may have been named using a
European character. However, I was trying to open one of
Word's built in templates, Legal Pleadings, not one that I
made/named.

When I go to "File...New" then pick that template, I get
the message "Could not open macro storage." All the other
templates seem to work OK...just not that one. I tried
opening it through Explorer (C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Templates\Legal Pleadings), but got the same
message.

I am running Word 97 on Win 2000. I can get the template
up if I log on as Administrator...however, this is a
shared computer, and I don't want everyone to be able to
get to everything. I would like this template to work
for all users. Is this a permissions problem, or what?

Are you using the Pleading Wizard? It seems to be plagued with problems in
every version of Word. For example, some versions won't work if you have the
Microsoft Works Suite Add-in for Word installed. There are numerous KB
articles regarding these problems, though I didn't find one with your
specific error message.

Suzanne - thanks for responding. Yes, when I open the
template as Administrator, the wizard starts. Is there a
way to get to the format without using the wizard?
