REPOSTING: Can't open items in Activities Tab of Conacts

When I try to open an item in the Activities Tab of
Contacts, using a double-click, I get an error
message "can't open this item". When I try to open the
same item using RIGHT click and "open", the item will open
just fine.

Any ideas on how to fix this back so a simple double-click
will fix it?

Also, the Activities Tab is taking VERY long to open the
items (if at all). The magnifying glass keeps going
around and around trying to pull up the list of items in
the Activities Tab. Any ideas why this is happening?
