Repubishing Site

Hi All

I'm nearing completion of a major rebuild of a substantial site - nearly 200
pages. Because the basic structure has had to change, many of the page names
have changed. I don't want to simply publish the new site over the old one
becuase it will leave a lot of dross. What is the best way - from a
readership point of view - to take the web off-line, delete all content and
republish from scratch? I guess the whole process might take a couple of
hours and I don't really want site visitors getting a 404 on everything. Any
ideas please?

Thanks

1. If you have renamed page, then users will get 404 coming via any search engines or favorites,
etc.

2. As long as you published down a copy of the site via FP's http mode and then made your changes,
republishing should delete all old content when doing a publish with Change Pages Only selected.
