Republish Assignments Not Working

I have a problem that is occurring around republishing assignments:

1. When I make a change to a resource's work hours and then select the
republish new and changed assignments, the Republish dialog box does not
appear (the box that shows resources names and gives you the option to become
the manager of resources). It appears as if nothing happens when you click
the republish new and changed assignments option in MS Project 2003. This is
only happening on a few projects not all of the projects within our system.
Also, the envelops that indicate that there are changes that need to be
republished remain on the project.


Does anyone know how to correct this problem?

We've had a similar issue with one project. The PM appears to have an issue
with his network connection & our suspicion is that the project became
corrupted. Our solution so far has been a restore from backup. In the future,
another option we're looking at is to force a rebuild of the project's binary
record in the Project Server database. Here's a link for instructions:
