Request help determining line length and end of line carriage returnsthrough document

I'm trying to create a macro that will go through a document, line by line,and highlight any line that either exceeds 69 characters or does not contain a carriage return at the end. Needless to say, all attempts thus far have been flawed. How is it possible to put each line of the document into astring so I can look at string length and then if it end with a return?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
