Requst vs demand bug ?

using ps07 /MSP07

Does PWA actuall publish and permit teammbers to update tasks, even when
they are in request mode ??

I jsut found out an update to a task from a resource on a plan. The resource
is actually on request and not demand..secondly why does PWA display the task
when the status is in request mode only ??

is this a known bug in PS07 ??

Request and Demand are used only with the Resource Substitution Wizard,
which is why they don't work the way you assume.

The feature I believe you would want to use to set the Booking type to
Proposed (click Tools - Build Team from Enterprise), which would prevent the
task from appearing on the Proposed user's My Tasks page and My Timesheet
page. Unfortunately, there is a bug in Project Server 2007 that caused
Proposed assignments to show up in both locations. thus defeating the
purpose of the Proposed booking. I am hoping that this bug is fixed in SP1.

Thanks Dale

The "Request /Demand" setting that I was speaking of was in MSP07 when doing
resource assignments and I assimed that this reflected to be the sames as
"proposed/commited" in PWA/PS07.

anyhow, either way its a bug .. and thanks for confirming this
