Research pane: Another Example of User-Interface Pollution?

Does anyone actually use the "Research" service embedded in Outlook,
Word, Powerpoint and Excel?

It seems to me that it's just another useless "feature". One could
even call it a UI Pollutant.

I use the Thesaurus in the research pane all the time, and I occasionally
use the dictionary.
