Reserving Odd/Even Pages for Figures

I am creating a document in which I would like to have the text on the odd
(or even) page and reserve the other (even or odd) for figures only. I'm
not sure of the best way to do this.

For example:

Page 1 contains text
Page 2 contains room for one or more figures, and no text
Page 3 is a continuation of the text on page 1

I have tried creating a frame with no text wrapping that fills the page,
however when I add text to page 1, instead of continuing the text on page 3,
as I would like it to do, it adds it to page 2 and bumps the frame to page 3.

Any ideas on how to deal with this?

Thanks, in advance

I have been playing around with this and find that , when using a frame or a
textbox, it APPEARS to behave the way I want UNTIL the frame or textbox
passes reaches a certain height -- the height required to fill the whole
page. Once it passes this point, the behaviour changes. In otherwords, I
still can't accomplish what I really want, so I'm still seeking someone's
expertise.

Just discovered a posting in here called, "A challenging question on text
boxes-word 2000" where the writer wanted to do exactly the same thing I want.
Unfortunately, the verdict was that this was not easily do-able.

One of my co-workers tried it out in StarOffice and had no problem,
whatsoever doing exactly what I wanted.

I guess I'm SOL, unless I switch to StarOffice.

If your entire document will be set up this way, then the easiest way to do
it is in two separate files, one for the text and one for the figures. The
page numbering can be accomplished with calculated fields (though this does
keep you from using an automatic TOC).

Thanks for the suggestion, Suzanne. Sounds too complicated to me. I'm going
to play around with StarOffice and see if it's worth creating my whole
document on that. I may end up having to switch back to MSO if I find that
I can't handle the learning curve or of I'm giving up other important
features. I guess it's a good opportunity to see.

Thanks, again.
