Reset Microsoft Outlook General Username and Password

I just installed Microsoft Office - I am trying to get to my inbox but a pop
up box comes up and asks me for username and password. it is not recognizing
the username and password i set it up with. - how do i reset that so i can
use my email?

Use the Mail applet in Control Panel to correctly configure your mail account
prior to starting Outlook.

Do those same login credentials work when using their webmail interface
to your e-mail account?
