reset user settings

Hello Newsgroup,
After havig upgraded my word 2007 to SP2 noting works fine. It is not
possible to edit things and the options panel is disabled, with the
exeption of the most used settings page. When I try to close the
documet word crashes. I have deleted normal.dotm and so on.
When I log off and log on as a diffrent user eveything works fine.
With /safe word starts and ends without errors.
How can I reset all user settings for the current user.

Sounds like the Word DATA key corrupting in the registry. Run Regedit and
navigate to DATA and whilst DATA is selected press DELETE. Word will
recreate a new key when it is next started.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\version number\Word\Data
