resetting birthday reminders

I use a fonebook which is a cool app that syncs outlook contacts with
facebook contacts. the nice feature i like is it syncs bday
information from facebook to outlook.

problem is when it does, outlook does not create a reminder in
calendar (as opposed to when you enter the birthday manually in
contacts).

how can i reset all birthday reminders so that after I sync, Outlook
can just go over all contacts and add the reminders automatically?

Are the synced b-days assigned a category or otherwise have something you
can filter on? if so, create a filter so only those show - group by reminder
time and drag the ones with missing reminders to another group.

Thanks for the tip but I don't think it answers my question. I'm not
trying to change reminder times from let's say 15 minutes to 30
minutes or 1 day. The problem is this:

when i enter a bday to a contact, outlook automatically puts a
reminder. that's fine.

but when it is added programatically (example by fonebook
application), outlook doesn't seem to update. I know this because I
check the contact and it's got the birthday field filled in, but i
look at the date and there's no reminder.

so the question is, how can i force outlook to go through all the
contacts and create the reminders?

BTW - here is a video if you need to see how it works.http://www.slipstick.com/Tutorials/remind/beforehand.htm

Can you force the software that is adding them to outlook to add a reminder?
You can't force Outlook to add reminders if the application didn't add them.
You will need to add the reminders yourself. You can use the method in the
video with the Reminder field to set the reminder to yes and with the remind
beforehand time to set the time of the reminder or you can make the change
one item at a time. If you know VBA you can also use VBA to do it but my
method takes a few minutes while writing VBA could take hours if you don't
know how to do it. If you need to do this regularly, you create a custom
view - apply the view, make the changes and switch back to your normal view.
