Resizing shape basic problem

Processor: Intel

Hi:

OK, I upgraded to 2008 and so far love it, but..

If I draw a rectangle (or any other shape for that matter) and try to resize it by dragging on a corner or center handle, it resizes itself to some smaller size (not what I want).

I opened a new PPT, drew a rectangle, and was able to resize it by click/drag.

What's my problem? TIA for your help.

Did you realize that you're posting to the General Mac Office Group? You'll
be more likely to get responses on PPt-specific issues if you post to that
group. Not many of the PPt folks read this board regularly.

In the meantime, make sure that both Office & OS X are fully updated & that
you've repaired disk permissions.

And include as much detail as you can. For example, whether this an actual
*upgrade* of a previously installed version or is it a *new/full*
installation in place of a previous version. Is this happening in older
files only - what file format are they?

Yes, I realized this was the general group - after I hit the send button - sorry.

Brand new - not an upgrade.

Only happening in files that were produced originally in Office 2007 (I think)

I opened a new PPT, and dragged all the slides into that one and it worked fine, however...

When I tried to apply a pre-existing .pot - 2008 got the spinning pizza wheel of death. I posted this issue to the correct group - Powerpoint help.

Thanks - Murray
