Resizing symbols

I'll like to draw a bathroom.

If I drag the "Shower" symbol on-to 'the paper' i can't resize it (ancors
grey - rotation green).

If I choose 'Corner bath' I'm able to resize??

The shower symbol has been set with two different sizes, available in its
custom properties.
If you want to freely resize it, then you need to uncheck the Width & Height
Protection settings ( Format / Protection )

Thanks for the advice!

Maybe you can answer 2 other question - i'm new to Visio...

Thr 'shower' symbols name is typded in format/special - is it possible to
make it visible in or somewhere arround the symbol?

If i draw a "room" the sizes are show, but they dissapear if the symbol
isn't selected - is there a way to automatically gets size messaures?

Use text fields to display information about a shape as text. Select the
shape and choose Insert > Field. If you go into text edit mode before
inserting the field, you can also insert multiple fields.
