Resource % Allocation

I was under the assumption that when you assign your resources at a specific
percentage rate for a task, it puts them as working at that percentage for
the whole duration of that task.

For example, Resource A works on Task 1 25% of the time, Resource B works on
Task 1 75% of the time as well. This task starts on January 1st to January
30th.

Is it true that Resource A puts 25% of his time into this task, from the 1st
to the 30th, or does it mean that he gets half of the hours, and once he
finishes the his part, he's done.

Are the hours split 50/50, no matter the percentage allocation?

So that Resource B finishes sooner?

Hi David,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

The percentages relate to the Work, so Resource A gets 25% of the Work and B
gets 75% and they should both finish at the same time.
