resource availability queries delays

Project Server 2003:
From the moment I request to view the resource availability of our 6 project
managers in my company (each manage on average 15 projects, 150 lines each),
I have to stop everything I am doing, in my workstation, and sit for
aproximately 15 minutes, before I can see the resource availability graph.
I have already contacted our technical staff, to monitor the SQL Server
response time. They tell me that the database provides the results in
seconds. They conclude it is the project server application that is causing
the delay.
Does anyone you know have run into a similar issue? If yes, please let me
know how they solved this situation.

Hi Jorge,

We had at one of our customers the same symptoms not 15 minutes but rather 2
a 3 minutes for about 5 a 6 people. The conclusion at that time was that the
complete graphical visualisation is done at client side. The server, SQL
queries is indeed not the bottleneck.

Can you check if an IT-person runs the same view on the server to exclude
potential network issues (We had it at another customer where half/full
duplex settings where causing big delays).

What are the results if you run the PWA view on a very powerful workstation?
