Resource Availability ?

Hi,

Can someone please advise what it is then that actually determines Resource
Availability? My understanding is that Resource availability is determined
by project and resource calendars, resource start and finish dates, but is
there anything else that affects the display of this availability. For
example does the time at which a resource is added to the Enterprise
resource pool have any effect ?

Can anyone please tell me what relationship there is between the resource
calendar (in the Enterprise Resource Pool), and the display of Resource
Availability in the Resource Center
