Resource Availability

I am utilizing Project Server 2007, when I view resource availability and
expand the details within one resource I see projects for which the resource
was a part of the project but it is not complete. I don't find the ability
to alter the Assignment Work by Resource view nor do I find the ability to
put any filters on this page. Any suggestions?

Typo below:
"...was a part of the project but it is not complete."
should read
"...was a part of the project but it is NOW complete."

Bad news, my friend. You cannot alter the View nor can you apply a filter
on this page. Hope this helps.
